ON THE TABLE is a stylish kitchen shop stocking the best in contemporary kitchen and table design. The site required a comprehensive redesign to create a parallel online presence. Top priority was given to online sales and payment, ease of navigation and a graphical and pictorial character that accurately reflected the style of the business. This is a dynamic site where page content comes from a database and all details of items for sale, including price, can be kept up to date by the client.
Great Western Camping
Great Western Camping is an award winning business with branches in Dorchester and Salisbury. They required an ecommerce site to effectively act as a third shop - this time with a national "reach". After just over a year this aim is close to being fulfilled.
Char-Chars
Char-Chars is a teashop in Dorchester and an online business selling a large range of specially selected teas. The requirement was for a simple to navigate ecommerce site which reflected the ethos and specialist knowledge of the company.
Roman Glass
Roman Glass is a firm with branches all over the South West of England and the Midlands. It combines traditional values of service with attention to detail. Their website had begun to look its age and did not do the company justice. The site was completely redesigned and given a dynamic database to store products - in this case details of mirrors available. All details of the products stored in the online database can be changed instantly by the owner.

This is the site of Swanage based designer Peter Cooper. His work involves transforming the home and working environment. The strong visual element in this work needed to be reflected in the appearance and design of the site. It was a delight to work collaboratively with a designer on his website.

Peter Cooper also designs handmade cards. This is a specialist niche of the Greetings Card market and required the combination of a simple visual design with intuitive navigation and a database backend to supply details of all cards.
WORDSETCETERA Bookshop
WORDSETCETERA is a well established bookshop selling mostly rare and collectable books. The site required a comprehensive redesign to the existing site which was presented in HTML with all the books embedded in the page code. This meant that details could not be altered by the owner so the site still featured many books that had already been sold. Priority in planning the new site was given to finding a book! This involved getting the design and navigation right and hiding the complexity of providing several different means of searching and listing the stock. This is a dynamic site where the book page content comes from a database and all details about the books, including price, can be kept up to date by the client. It is vital to have as little delay between a book being sold and its being removed from the site and with a database this is completely under the control of the client.
Nangle Rare Books
Julian Nangle specialises in rare books and first editions. His requirement was for a site which would act as the "shop front" both for new and existing customers on his catalogue mailing list. The site required extensive development to fit the way in which the business works and incorporates many custom handcoded features.
G.Curtis and Sons Ltd
G.Curtis and Sons Ltd is a long established Dorset building firm which specialises in building maintenance but handles all types of building work from the smallest domestic job to the largest project. The requirement for the website was to reflect the traditional background of the firm whilst showing the range of work and the variety of skills offered. Initially a presentation website, the site is steadily growing and has become of major importance to the business.
The Dorchester BID
This website formed part of a campaign for Dorchester to establish a Business Improvement District. It required a public area giving information about the BID and a secure area for those in the area to register and both propose projects to be included and vote for them online. The online voting system is a first for BIDs in the UK and helped the BID team to decide on a programme of improvement projects.
Slades Farm Bed and Breakfast
Slades Farm offers bed and breakfast in rural Dorset (England). It is in the lovely village of Charminster, just outside Dorchester, and has hens, ducks and donkeys! The requirement was for a simple static website showing what the B&B and surrounding area has to offer. Photography was the key ingredient in showing the attractive stone-built farm in its rural surroundings and, particularly, the beautiful Dorset countryside.Of course these would only be seen with effective search engine marketing. Bookings via the internet come from all over Europe and America and now account for a majority of all bookings!
The Bay Tree Bed and Breakfast
The Bay Tree Bed and Breakfast in Dorchester needed an attractive site promoting the business and the local area. This was achieved largely through the use of supporting photographs - one of the services offered by Insitement to its clients. This is an ideal sector for websites. This B&B also is now frequently fully booked just from online bookings.

This is the site of Notary Public Madie Colwill. This is a simple presentation website giving full details of the services offered and a means of contacting Madie. The main requirement here was for a distinctive web presence.

Malcolm Harris Photography offer a bespoke photographic service and required a bespoke and distinctive website to match. The focus is clearly upon the high quality photographs and the site includes the facility to browse through a number of areas of Malcolm's portfolio to get a flavour of what he can do for you.
FrancisMusic
This site is a showcase for the composer Richard Francis. It demanded a creative design treatment but had also to be informative about the composer. His chronological list of compositions needed to be easily accessed but visually interesting.
